Leslie & Matt - Pell City Wedding

***UPDATE*** The full gallery is now available by clicking here. Email me if you need the password. Album design preview is here. Enjoy!

What a beautiful day for a wedding! Leslie and Matt were married on Saturday at the Pell City First United Methodist Church. Rain and gray skies proceeded the wedding for two days but on the wedding day there wasn't the least threat of in climate weather. Rather we were treated to beautiful blue skies and lovely clouds. The rain had washed the dust and pollen from the air and we were treated to a welcoming breeze. One of the benefits of having stormy days before is cleaner air and more dramatic skies. Often time photographers will artificially add the kind of skies we had naturally.
If you follow my blog your might remember Leslie and Matt from their engagement portrait session at the Vulcan. You can always see that post here. They are a wonderfully sweet couple and just a joy to work with. As with every wedding there will be at least some minor hiccups here and there but nothing is going to cause Lesley or Matt any stress. They were laid back and relaxed all day. Kelly and I really enjoyed being a part of their day and we are looking forward to showing off the rest of the images soon. In the meantime enjoy these previews!
When I saw the dogwood tree in full bloom outside I nearly jumped for joy! Sometimes it can be a challenge to find a good spot for the dress shot but not this time. Not pictured is my wonderful wife/assistant, Kelly. She was holding the dress to make sire it didn't fly away in the breeze!

Mirrors were at a bit of a premium. Search as we may we weren't able to find a full length one at the church. Leslie was a good sport though and made do with a combination of hand held ones.

We were blessed with great weather! After two days of rain, Saturday was blue skies,  puffy white clouds, and a lovely breeze. You just couldn't ask for better weather!

Like I said earlier, that dogwood tree was just too good to pass up!

Leslie and Mat had a wonderful bad for the ceremony. They sounded just like the bluegrass band Nickle Creek. They were amazingly good!

Again, Amazing skies to go with our amazing couple!

Always looking for a great and unique spot for the rings I found, well you are probably detecting a theme here, the dogwood tree. This was the first time I have ever placed the rings in a tree. I'm pretty happy with the results!

As we were nearing sunset and the end of the evening, I hauled Leslie and Matt out for one final shot. They were so much fun and such a wonderful couple. I'm looking forward to showing off the rest of the images!
