Jill & Brock - Trussville Wedding

Last Saturday, I had the honor and privilege to photograph the wedding of Brock and Jill Armstrong at the Deerfoot Baptist Church in Trussville, Alabama. A cool breeze with warm, inviting sunlight set the stage for the wedding of this wonderful couple. I could not ask for a nicer couple and family to work with. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. The church itself is surrounded by natural beauty and many opportunities that I enjoyed exploring. From the forest to the rocks and open sky, there were no shortage of great spots to work with!

Two weddings in a row I had some great outdoor opportunities to show off the dress. Jill's was one of the lightest I have ever felt but it wasn't light on detail!

As you can see Brock and Jill are pretty serious Auburn fans! I must say that the detail on Toomer's Corner was pretty impressive. Nancy and her team at The Bridal Garden did a really great job!

I love when couples write notes to each other. It is moments like these that I enjoy documenting so very much!

This was a first for me. The little flower girl was just a baby, but she looked so sweet being pulled down the aisle in a wagon. She was very well behaved!

In another different twist, Bock and Jill had their first dance immediately following the ceremony right outside of the church. There was a perfect area right there and the weather could not have been more perfect!

The bridesmaids and groomsmen planned a surprise for the couple. I gave the code phrase "my it sure is sunny!" and with that the bridesmaids pulled out the sunglasses and the groomsmen water pistols. I really enjoy doing things like this!

Brock and Jill are both Auburn Alums and their love for their school was almost as evident as their love for each other!

It was very obvious from the first time I met with Brock and Jill just how important their faith is in their relationship. 

Thanks to Janet Boley at The Bridal Garden. She did the flowers, church and reception decorations, catering, and cake decorations! They did a wonderful job and were great to work with! Thanks also to Brock and Jill for having me as their photographer! I thoroughly enjoyed working with you both and I look forward to showing off the rest of the images as soon as possible!
